Things I ❤

I feel a blog post is long overdue.

Shots at The Square

I could get very very drunk at this place, very easily. Their booze doesn't even taste like booze. With an extensive cocktail and shooters menu there's plenty of excuses to go get a bit merry. Plus, they all look so pretty!

Breakfast in Belgium.

Probably the BEST breakfast I've woken up to. And most certainly the prettiest. A bowl of fruit, freshly baked croissants, strong coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice and yoghurt.

Teriyaki Salmon & Micro-veg.

I got a bit hooked on those little bags of veg you steam in the microwave. Rice, peas, broccoli and sweetcorn with a little butter and pepper is just heaven. Top that with teriyaki salmon and it's just plain epic.

My Dog.

Taz has been a bit under the weather lately, in and out the vets all week, not eating and generally being ill. He's just been lying around the house looking depressed so I took a trip home to keep an eye on him while the parentals went out. Luckily he's perked up a lot now and seems to be on the mend :D <3

My Alexander McQueen Scarf.

Just look at it. It's awesome. I pretty much wear it every day and I really shouldn't. I'm terrified of losing it or wrecking it. (I'm prone to food stains.)

Presents from Lush.

That picture doesn't do it much justice, lol. Luke ran off to Derby straight from work to get himself a new board, saying he'd get me a present. Laura and I went off and bought stuff to make Oreo Balls with (see here.) And he came back with a wrapped box which contained these lovely smelling things. He got me the Ray of Sunshine gift set which includes (L-R) Sugar Scrub, Two's a Pair Massage Bar, Olive Branch Shower Gel and a wedge of Sexy Peel. Let's just say I spent an extra 20 minutes in the shower that day. :) <3

My Makeup.

That's quite a lot of makeup, now I look at it. The top picture is Benefit Ooh La Lift (£16.50) & Confessions of a Concealaholic (£28.50) which I use if I need an extra pick me up after a long night. The bottom picture is my main makeup:
-Collection 2000 concealer stick (£1.99) (The best concealer I've ever used.)
-Benefit High Beam. (£18.50)
-Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous. (£23.50)
-Benefit Dandelion Blusher (£23.50) (Only blusher I use.)
-Collection 2000 Pressed Powder (£1.99)
-Benefit Erase Paste (£19.50)

-Collection 2000 Big Fake False Lash Mascara (£5.99)

It's my other hobby.

The Square

The Square, 7-9, The Poultry, Nottingham.

Just another quick one to show off all the pretty drinks me and a few friends had the other day at The Square in Nottingham center.

L-R: Blowjob, Strawberry cheesecake & some unknown shot. I had the blowjob, but all giggles aside this was awesome. Banana liqueur, Baileys and whipped cream.

L-R:  Jaffa cake, After Eight & Strawberry cheesecake. I'd been eyeing this up after someone else had is to I decided to go for it. It's basically the same as a blowjob but has strawberry liqueur instead of banana. It wasn't as nice, put it that way.

L-R: Zombie, Key West Cooler (the tall one), Neon Dream (at the front) & Purple People Eater. The barman was getting a bit sick of us ordering Neon Dreams all the time, so we ended up having a variety. And at 2 cocktails for £6.50 it was alllll goood.

This is where thing get a bit blurry, I don't remember all of these lol. The green one is a Shrek, the tall red one is a Little Red Dress (which was really nice and fruity) and there's my favourite drink, a white russian (the small white one <3)

I don't even know what these ones are o_o They were all very tastey though!

29.10.10 - Chiquito. Part II

ChiquitoRedfield Way, Lenton, Nottingham.

Alright, I'm just gonna post what Eddie had, for the sake of posting.

Chipotle Meatballs - £4.95

Eddie has this thing for meatballs, it's a little creepy. If there's meatballs on the menu for a starter there's an 85% chance he'll get it. This was no exception. The meatballs were gone within minutes. I had to ask him how they were. He said they were medium spicey, not too hot. With a great texture, meaning they weren't overcooked or too chewy. The cornbread was interesting, it looked like a slice of cake...and it kinda tasted like it too. It was light and fluffy (I stole a bit) and a little sweet too so it reminded me of vanilla sponge cake when it wasn't dipped in the tomato and chipotle sauce.

Enchiladas - £10.15

For his main, Eddie had the Enchiladas with the Spicy Chicken. He was having a little trouble with this, because he doesn't like sour cream, guacamole or chipotle mayo. So, he had to scrape it all off into a pile on the side. After he started tucking in, he was still having trouble eating it due to the fact it fell apart too easily, which we've never had a problem with before. There was too much rice inside them and not enough chicken which made them really filling and a little hard to eat. He said they were nice though, just a pain to eat and too much rice. The Spicy chicken was great, there just wasn't enough of it.

Mini "Shot" Desserts - £1.79 each, 2 - £3.49, 3 - £4.99, all 5 - £6.99

I managed to convince Eddie to get the mini shots as his dessert as he was too full to have a full dessert, and I really wanted to see them. We decided on one each and share the churros (Yeah, we didn't...) Eddie had the Banoffee Toffee Shot which is on the left. When I asked him how it was he just said "Delicious", It was basically toffee syrup with chunks of nice sweet banana in it, topped with cream and chocolate sprinkles with a biscuit base. He finished it pretty quickly.

My Double Chocolate Minted Mousse was great, the top half was a dense, rich chocolate mousse with just the right amount of mint to make it not as heavy. The second half was a lighter, bubbly mousse which was just as minty. As full as I was, I managed to eat the whole thing.
